<p>Director of Architecture</p> <p>Department: Architecture</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: Sanford, FL</p> <p>Reporting To: Todd Hendrix</p> <p>Description</p> <p>CPH is looking to bring a strong Director of Architecture to our team here in Central Florida!</p> <p>The Director of Architecture provides strategic leadership and oversight to the architectural team, ensuring the successful delivery of design and construction projects. This role involves managing large-scale projects, driving innovation, mentoring staff, and ensuring that all architectural solutions align with client needs, company goals, and regulatory standards. The Director of Architecture will collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding results on time and within budget.</p> <p>Duties Include</p> <p>Department Oversight:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee Studio Principals. </li><li>Manage and oversee architectural portion of CPH programs and design team activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and schedules. </li><li>Provide quality assurance throughout all phases of design and construction documentation. </li><li>Stay current with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements, ensuring all projects are fully compliant. </li><li>Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation. </li></ul> <p>Leadership and Mentorship:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the senior technical leader in the department, offering mentorship and guidance to employees. </li><li>Share expertise and foster professional growth within the team to build a strong, knowledgeable department. </li><li>Define and drive the architectural vision and strategy to meet business objectives while fostering innovation and creativity. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration and Coordination:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with other members of the leadership team to coordinate and integrate efforts across Departments. </li><li>Maintain effective QA/QC process to ensure high-quality, complete, and well-coordinated drawings. </li></ul> <p>Strategic Planning Growth, and Operations:</p> <ul> <li>Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the department. </li><li>Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded throughout the project lifecycle. </li><li>Contribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives, business planning, and growth efforts. Participating in new business development, proposal writing, and client presentations to support the firm's objectives. </li></ul> <p>Team Development and Management:</p> <ul> <li>Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of architects, designers, and technical staff, fostering professional development and collaboration. </li><li>Oversight of project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial targets. </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite. </li><li>Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Proficiency in hand sketching and drawing. </li><li>Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills, and ability to maintain schedules and meet project deadlines. </li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work cross-functionally in a team environment. </li><li>Experience in Industrial, Institutional, Commercial, Retail, Restaurants, Grocery Stores, and Office projects. </li><li>Strong adaptability and ability to follow instructions. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet project deadlines. </li><li>Detail-oriented, reliable, quality-conscious, and self-motivated. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license. </li><li>Assist with administrative duties and needed. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. </li><li>Architectural Licensed </li><li>Minimum of 10 years' experience in architecture, and project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. </li><li>Expertise in managing large scale, projects across various sectors, such as commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial. </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Dependent upon experience. </li><li>CPH offers Medical, Dental and Vision and Long-Term Disability with a quality insurance company. </li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability. </li><li>401K, Paid Personal Time Off, Paid Holidays, and Paid Paternal Leave. </li></ul> <p>CPH is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Drug Free Work Environment Employer.</p>
