<p>Scheduled Hours</p> <p>37.5</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The purpose of this position is to provide reporting and analytical support that is the basis for decision making regarding utilization of financial assistance at the university. This includes managing the donated fund processes and maintaining and updating the detailed analyses of donated scholarship funds and available loan funds that underlie these processes. It also includes external reporting and internal analysis.</p> <p>In addition this position processes funding from the Department of Education (SEOG and TRIO) as well as state funding (Missouri Academic and Access Missouri).</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Manages the Assignment/Donated Fund Process, which includes:</p> <ul> <li>Applying the university's donated funds, institutional loan funds, and federal SEOG funds to replace remission transactions on individual student accounts and working with University Advancement, Financial Planning & Budgets, divisional Business Managers, and WUIT to ensure the successful planning, testing and outcome of the process that creates donated funds transactions. </li><li>Maintaining and updating the detailed analysis of available university donated scholarship funds and federal work-study funds, to determine amounts available to target for spending in each academic year. Offers proposal, makes adjustments as needed, and acquires approval - on a fund-by-fund basis -- for donated funds spending targets, working with Business Managers in each of the undergraduate divisions and Financial Planning and Budgets. </li><li>Responds to requests from Advancement and other constituencies within all undergraduate divisions with respect to Donated Funds spending, ensuring proper treatment according to donor restriction, and furthering their stewardship efforts with the goal of soliciting future gifts. </li><li>Provides supporting information to Financial Planning for the university's Net Tuition Income Model. Collaborates with Financial Planning to ensure accurate spending and documentation for several high-profile donated funds, such as the Danforth, Enterprise, and Frist scholarship funds. </li></ul> <p>Prepares internal and external reports and analysis, which includes:</p> <ul> <li>The annual Cost of Attendance Budget (and related student survey). </li><li>The SFS Annual Report. </li><li>The Community Impact Report. </li><li>Annual review of Need Analysis Rules. </li><li>Survey reports for COFHE and the NCAA. </li><li>Provides financial aid-related sections of external federal and state surveys such as IPEDS, HEFA Debt Compliance, and the Common Data Set. </li><li>Other, ongoing data and analysis and ad hoc requests. </li></ul> <p>Implements external partner agreements; honorary scholarship awards; and awarding of special university programs.</p> <p>Leads the SFS Numbers Team, which reviews all reporting, analysis, and data requests for Student Financial Services information.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Job Location/Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Normal office environment </li></ul> <p>Physical Effort</p> <ul> <li>Typically sitting at a desk or table </li><li>Repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement. </li><li>Ability to move to on and off-campus locations </li></ul> <p>Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Office equipment </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
