<p>Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Radio Frequency Engineer.</p> <p>Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to support advanced development and testing of RF systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either RF hardware design and testing or RF propagation modeling, with a preference for radar system experience. This role requires hands-on expertise with RF test equipment and proficiency in MATLAB for modeling and analysis.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop test plans for radar and countermeasure systems- to the key responsibility section </li><li>Design, develop, and test RF hardware components, with a focus on radar or communications systems </li><li>Conduct RF propagation modeling and analysis, emphasizing electromagnetic field behavior beyond basic link budget calculations </li><li>Utilize MATLAB for simulation and modeling of RF propagation scenarios </li><li>Operate and interpret results from RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and network analyzers </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate RF systems into larger platforms </li><li>Document test procedures, results, and technical findings clearly and accurately* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field </li><li>Proficiency in MATLAB for RF modeling and simulation </li><li>Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Experience with anechoic chamber operation </li></ul> <p>Proven experience in one or more of the following</p> <ul> <li>RF hardware design and testing at the component level (radar preferred) </li><li>RF propagation modeling with a focus on electromagnetic field behavior </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with radar systems and signal processing </li><li>Familiarity with RF system integration and troubleshooting </li><li>Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance for RF systems </li></ul>
