<p>Responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for our guests and maintaining a safe and clean pool area. </p> <ul> <li>This position reports to the Facility Supervisor and Aquatic Supervisor. </li><li>Greet all guests with a positive attitude as they enter the facility. </li><li>Responsible for cash control at the admissions desk; collect and properly record all cash, check and charge transactions, and complete the daily cash balance sheet at the end of each shift. </li><li>Answer all incoming phone calls and follow through on calls or transfer calls to the appropriate person or location. </li><li>Provide general information on Parks & Recreation activities and facilities. </li><li>Provide great customer service to patrons on deck, in the concession stand and at the admissions desk. </li></ul> <p> - Maintain a positive public image and attitude with good public relations.</p> <ul> <li>Wear appropriate staff uniform at all times. </li><li>Attend all staff meetings. </li><li>Abide by all City of Elgin rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Manual. </li><li>Other duties as assigned.  </li><li>Minimum 15 years of age </li><li>Demonstrates proficiency in basic math skills </li><li>Ability to handle money in receiving and returning </li><li>Ability to work pleasantly with patrons and co-workers </li><li>Ability to enforce all rules and policies in a diplomatic manner </li><li>Ability to handle prolonged periods of time in the sun/outdoors </li><li>Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification by 05/31/2026 </li><li>Must pass drug and background checks Hours vary based on the open hours of each facility.  </li></ul> <p>Locations: Lords Park Family Aquatic Center & Wing Park Family Aquatic Center</p>
