The Vice President will translate business needs into actionable talent solutions that drive performance, engagement, and retention. The Vice President leads a team of Human Resources professionals that are embedded within the business and will collaborate closely with system-wide Centers of Excellence such as Colleague Relations, Learning & Organizational Development, and Total Rewards to implement enterprise strategies, ensure policy consistency, and foster a high-performing, engaged culture.</p> <p>Key Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Partner with senior leadership to identify key talent challenges and opportunities </li><li>Use data-driven insights to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives. Align annual HR goals with local and system-wide strategic plans </li><li>In partnership with system-wide Centers of Excellence locally lead workforce planning, succession management, and talent development initiatives. Collaborate with leaders on organizational design and change management efforts. </li><li>Enhance and operationalize talent processes to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent </li><li>Partner with Colleague Relations to ensure fair and consistent application of policies, policy interpretation, and performance management. Provide coaching and guidance to leaders </li><li>Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations </li><li>Work closely with system-wide Centers of Excellence to implement system-wide initiatives at the local level. Provide feedback and continuous improvement opportunities to ensure initiatives are successful. Ensure alignment and consistency in HR practices across the organization </li><li>Model H3W Leadership Behaviors that reflect the organization's values and commitment to excellence </li><li>Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement </li><li>Bachelor's degree is required </li><li>Ten plus of progressive Human Resources leadership is required </li><li>Experience in talent management, organizational design, employee relations, change management </li><li>Business, Financial, and Project Management skills </li><li>Conflict resolution and interpersonal skills as well as analytical and data driven skills </li><li>Is a systems thinker able to connect the dots, translate symptoms into themes, conceptualize solutions and bring ideas to life </li><li>Able to proactively engage leaders on issues & opportunities as well as influence key stakeholders to secure resources, commitment and support </li><li>Frames issues & opportunities with stakeholders in ways that help them look at things in a different light </li><li>Possess an unquenchable curiosity to surface insights to help leaders position and manage the business </li><li>Is a hands-on builder who is able to participate in any business discussion </li><li>Able to flex between the strategic & tactical, operate in shades of gray and work in the current state while building the future state </li><li>Challenges the status quo & conventional wisdom </li></ul> <p>We take great care of careers.</p> <p>With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
