<p>Job Description: The Bilingual Instructor is responsible for collaborating with a content instructor to provide contextualized bilingual instruction (Spanish and English) to students enrolled in non-credit Workforce Development courses.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Co-plan with the content instructor to design dynamic instruction in line with the needs of the students in the class.Utilize the established curriculum and content that has been designed/selected for the course.Identify appropriate curricular resources and translate materials as needed.Co-teach with the content instructor in Spanish and English to support students' development of language skills.Conduct courses on the STCC campus or off-campus at a community partner location. Delivers differentiated classroom instruction in a variety of formats including large group, small group, one-on-one and computerized instruction.Collaborate with the content instructor to pre- and post- assess student learning and keep accurate attendance, grades, and skills information as required for the specific certification by the licensing agency.Regularly communicate with students to support enrollment, orientation, retention, and successful completion of the course.Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Requirements: Bachelor's DegreeAt least 6 months of teaching experienceAbility to teach in both English and Spanish languagesExperience working with a diverse populationStrong written and oral communication and interpersonal skillsFlexibility and ability to respond appropriately to multiple requests in a changing work environment while maintaining the focus required to see tasks to completion</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Licensed educator with the Department of Elementary and Secondary EducationFamiliarity with digital learningCollege teaching experienceOnline teaching experienceExperience in the course field</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>Duties normally performed in a classroom environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, climb, walk and reach overhead as needed.</p> <p>Additional Information: SALARY: $50.00 per hour of instructional time.</p> <p>WORK SCHEDULE: To be determined with the applicant, flexibility needed depending on the course.</p> <p>BENEFITS: No</p> <p>GRANT FUNDED: No</p> <p>CLOSING DATE: Open until filled</p> <p>All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
