Join with us as we add to our team of exceptional individuals who will help us take over the world - one mattress at a time.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The compensation target range for this role is:</p> <p>$109,700 - $129,000</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Senior Retail Environments Manager is responsible for developing and</p> <p>implementing strategic visual merchandising guidelines and retail</p> <p>environment standards that enhance brand storytelling, optimize the</p> <p>customer experience, and drive revenue across all owned retail</p> <p>touchpoints.</p> <p>Reporting to the Sr. Director of Retail Environments, this role will focus on</p> <p>creating scalable merchandising strategies, fixture guidelines, and in-store</p> <p>presentation standards to support Owned Retail execution. The Senior</p> <p>Retail Environments Manager will work closely with internal teams to</p> <p>conceptualize new retail formats, curate seasonal merchandising</p> <p>directives, and provide strategic recommendations that elevate Purple's</p> <p>in-store presence.</p> <p>Success in this role requires a strong balance of creative expertise and</p> <p>operational acumen. The ideal candidate must be adept at influencing</p> <p>stakeholders across various teams, driving alignment on visual</p> <p>merchandising initiatives, and ensuring consistency in execution across all</p> <p>retail channels. Additionally, this role will be responsible for developing</p> <p>comprehensive merchandising toolkits, training materials, and</p> <p>implementation guidelines to support field teams in executing at the</p> <p>highest level.</p> <p>As a strategic contributor, the Senior Retail Environments Manager will</p> <p>play a critical role in shaping the future of Purple's retail experience,</p> <p>ensuring that visual merchandising principles align with brand growth</p> <p>objectives and customer engagement strategies.</p> <p>This role is responsible for partnering with internal teams, quantifying the</p> <p>work to be done, strategizing, developing, and driving to completion in</p> <p>support of driving revenue and/or customer experience. This position will</p> <p>work closely with the Sr. Director of Retail Environments and other</p> <p>individuals in the visual merchandising group. The role requires the ability</p> <p>to maintain a strong working relationship with both Wholesale and</p> <p>Owned Retail leaders, collaborate, and work on new concepts and ideas</p> <p>that are developing as the Purple brand grows. This role requires both</p> <p>creative and operational skills. The ability to influence others who do not</p> <p>report to the Retail Environments Manager and lead their own team to</p> <p>ensure that work is being done at an elevated level is vital. Collaborating</p> <p>with all members of the Retail Environments team will be necessary. This</p> <p>is a leadership role with direct reports.</p> <p>The Manager must demonstrate a passion for excellence in detail, design,</p> <p>retail environments, and customer experience in relationship to Owned</p> <p>Retail.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Essential Duties &</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prioritize all work with a focus on driving revenue, customer </li></ul> <p>experience or moving the brand forward.</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Retail Environments Operations Specialist to establish </li></ul> <p>the budget, seeking budget approvals from the budget owner for both</p> <p>expenses and CAPEX as required.</p> <ul> <li>Drive a successful merchandising program that is scalable. </li><li>Finalize design/samples and take the final set of SKUs to the Retail </li></ul> <p>Buyer to place an order with the vendor.</p> <ul> <li>Partner with the internal Marketing & Brand Strategy team to create </li></ul> <p>assets and provide approval as required.</p> <ul> <li>Support events to ensure appropriate branding and visual </li></ul> <p>merchandising support for Owned Retail.</p> <ul> <li>Must set priorities and organize tasks to completion ensuring all </li></ul> <p>details are addressed.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure fluid internal communication across team and cross-functional </li></ul> <p>partners.</p> <ul> <li>Establish & maintain a vendor partnership process that ensures </li></ul> <p>seamless communication and execution.</p> <ul> <li>Ongoing evaluation of current strategy of Retail Environments </li></ul> <p>processes, procedures, operational structure.</p> <p>Required Skills, Education, Experience:</p> <ul> <li>College degree and or 5-7 years of relevant retail experience </li><li>Travel requirements minimum 50% </li><li>The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Visual </li></ul> <p>Merchandising, thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, and have</p> <p>proven experience of effectively leading a team.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor and or associate degree or 5 years of relevant retail </li></ul> <p>experience</p> <ul> <li>Creative thinker that can collaborate while developing new plans, </li></ul> <p>processes, and solutions.</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Demonstrate skills in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite required. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to take direction, feedback, and desire to </li></ul> <p>grow.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Physical activities may occasionally include:</p> <ul> <li>Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for </li></ul> <p>prolonged periods of time.</p> <ul> <li>Adjusting or moving objects up to 40 pounds in all directions. </li><li>Use of ladders using safety protocol/OSHA standards required. </li></ul> <p>Physical activities may constantly include:</p> <ul> <li>Communicating with others to exchange information. </li><li>Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or </li></ul> <p>fingers.</p> <ul> <li>Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work </li></ul> <p>assigned.</p> <p>Environmental Conditions may occasionally include:</p> <ul> <li>Noisy open office environment </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS AND PERKS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Medical, Dental, Vision</p> </li><li> <p>401(k) Match</p> </li><li> <p>Flexible PTO</p> </li><li> <p>Earn a Mattress</p> </li><li> <p>Purple Swag</p> </li><li> <p>Amazing Purple Products</p> </li></ul> <p>WHY WORK AT PURPLE?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Make your mark: We value innovative thinking.
