<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Responsible for the day to day investigations of Food and Beverage, Retail, and Gaming Operations assigned by the Surveillance Director, Manager, or Shift Supervisors. Report all findings to Management, Compliance and Internal Audit</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and /or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution </li><li>Ensure quality observations and investigations in the Surveillance Department on assigned shift </li><li>Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Virginia Lottery Board, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property </li><li>Protects casino assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor </li><li>Assists with directing the flow of surveillance reports to the proper individuals per surveillance management, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality </li><li>Ability to work as a team in an effort to develop fellow surveillance team member and the Surveillance Department </li><li>Create daily acidity reports and prepares necessary reports for management </li><li>Coordinates, with the Surveillance Management, when surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention as appropriate </li><li>Incorporates information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings </li><li>Observes, documents, records, and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property </li><li>Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to Surveillance Management for proper resolution </li><li>Reviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to Surveillance Management as needed </li><li>Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of years surveillance experience in investigative techniques either with law enforcement or gaming with emphasis on Financial fraud or theft </li><li>Must be able to learn and understanding of all aspects of a digital surveillance system utilized in the surveillance environment </li><li>Must be able to learn of operating a digital system in regards to workstations, software utilized, downloading, sending information, hardware, cabling, programming and configurations, settings, etc, related to operations such a systems </li><li>Knowledge of fraud detection </li><li>Knowledge of investigative procedures and techniques </li><li>Ability to communicate with Team Members </li><li>Ability to be a TEAM player </li><li>Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment </li></ul> <p>Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:</p> <ul> <li>Able to obtain and retain gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s). </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedures manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents </li><li>Ability to learn and retain information from all cash handling department including knowledge and understanding of casino math and table games </li><li>Ability to write effective reports, memos, equipment repair logs, training guides and inventory control programs </li><li>Ability to create computer programs and organize spreadsheets </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations </li><li>Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English </li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs </li><li>Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations </li></ul> <p>Physical, Environmental, and other requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times </li><li>Must be able to sit for long periods of time </li><li>Must be able to grip or grasp items for 75% of the time </li><li>Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays </li><li>Working in an office environment and throughout the property in all locations </li><li>Must be able to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate </li><li>When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud </li><li>A Casino environment typically allows smoking </li></ul>
