<p>All duties are performed under the direct supervision of the Facility Projects and Transportation Director and the Chief Financial Officer. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will keep the College facilities, equipment, and grounds operational and orderly. Listed below are the primary responsibilities of this position; however, the Facility Projects and Transportation Director and/or the Chief Financial Officer may assign other professional duties to meet the College's needs.</p> <p>This full-time position splits work hours between Fountain Correctional Facility & Thomasville Day Reporting Center.</p> <ul> <li>Ensures the storage and security of materials. </li><li>Ensures execution of matters related to plant operation. </li><li>Participates in any/all necessary training. </li><li>Ensures compliance with changes in technology, laws, codes, or regulations with regards to general facility maintenance. </li><li>Reports the condition of College buildings to the Coordinator of Facility Projects and Transportation to determine needed repairs and maintenance. </li><li>Receives and ensures completion of authorized work requests. </li><li>Performs courier and custodial services. </li><li>Performs maintenance and upkeep of the college facilities/grounds/equipment. </li><li>Assists with college events. </li><li>Maintains a valid Alabama driver's license and is eligible for College automotive insurance coverage. </li><li>Must be eligible to enter any/all Department of Corrections (DOC), Federal Correctional Institutions (FCI), and Pardons & Paroles Facilities to perform the job duties and maintain this status for continued employment. </li><li>Possesses an understanding of and commitment to the philosophy and mission of a community and technical College. </li><li>Possesses a sensitivity and commitment to cultural diversity. </li><li>Complies with any applicable guidelines and policies set forth by the Alabama Community College System and J. F. Ingram State Technical College. </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of verifiable full-time maintenance experience in air conditioning/refrigeration, industrial maintenance, plumbing, and/or related field are required.</p> <p>Career Technical Training Certification/Degree and EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is preferred.General Information: J.F.
