In this role you will provide leadership, training, development, management, and coordination of the Career & Technical Act, which promotes excellence in CTE programs in secondary schools across Colorado. For more information, please visit our CTE Vision page.</p> <p>As the CTA Manager, you will manage all aspects of programmatic and fiscal compliance with the Career & Technical Act (CTA) and assist with career and technical education (CTE) activities, including implementation of the Perkins Act, CTE State Plan, and CCCS Strategic Plan where it intersects with CTE.</p> <p>Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Review and analyze data for trends and accuracy in district submissions to ensure equitable and compliant distribution of state funds for CTE programs according to the requirements set forth in guidance. </li><li>Interpret and develop guidance, business rules, and processes around the implementation of the CTA statute and relevant CTE processes. </li><li>Design and implement training materials and other resources to provide coaching and support timely and accurate CTA submissions by eligible districts and CTE programs. </li><li>Support implementation of the CTE State Plan, specifically consulting with districts on how to maximize funding, impact learner outcomes, support teachers and administrators, and assist with the State Perkins grant. </li><li>Create content and maintain all master files for CTA and CTA web pages on the Colorado CTE website, including continuous development, troubleshooting, and testing of the CTA reporting website (CTE Gateway). </li><li>Coordinate and support projects related to implementation of the Perkins State Plan and CTE Strategic Plan as assigned. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. </li><li>An additional two years of experience in Career and Technical Education and/or grant or compliance management. Experience in CTE administration highly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Attributes that will contribute to success in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and video conferencing tools. At least intermediate level of proficiency in Excel. </li><li>Excellent communication, analytic, and organizational skills (oral and written). </li><li>Maintains a pleasant, professional demeanor and focuses on customer service to both internal System staff and external users. </li><li>Ability to accurately apply guidance and explain policies, procedures, and record systems. </li><li>Demonstrated attention to detail and experience analyzing and interpreting data sets including programmatic and financial information. </li><li>Ability to convey complex, technical information to a diverse audience with varying degrees of financial sophistication. </li><li>A self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently with limited oversight. </li><li>Multi-task when given various assignments and prioritize tasks. </li></ul> <p>Work Location/Travel Expectations: </p> <ul> <li>This position is located at CCCS System Office: 9101 E. Lowry Blvd., Denver, CO 80230. </li><li>Regular in-state and occasional out-of-state travel is required of this position. Travel frequently includes providing technical assistance and training to school districts related to Career & Technical Education, presentations at state CTE meetings and conferences (i.e. CACTA and CACTE), and with partners (e.g., CWDC, CDE) across the state. Occasionally travel includes evenings or weekends. </li><li>Alternative work arrangements, including flexible schedules and hybrid-remote work may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado. </li></ul> <p>The Colorado Community College System is the state's largest provider of higher education and workforce training, consisting of 13 colleges and over 35 locations across the state, educating approximately 130,000 postsecondary students annually.
