This role ensures seamless communication and execution of services across areas of order management, inventory control, appointment scheduling, and billing. This position will be working onsite in Elizabeth, NJ.</p> <p>Key job duties:</p> <p>Order Management</p> <ul> <li>Initiate, modify, cancel, and confirm customer orders. </li><li>Adjust orders based on inventory availability and communicate those changes proactively. </li><li>Respond to order status inquiries and distribute relevant documentation, including Bills of Lading and Proofs of Delivery. </li><li>Oversee export procedures, including the preparation of USDA documentation and inspection coordination. </li></ul> <p>Inventory Management</p> <ul> <li>Process inventory holds and release requests. </li><li>Manage special day holds and communicate placarding or segregation needs to operations. </li><li>Facilitate inter-customer product ownership transfers. </li><li>Conduct detailed inventory inquiries and generate traceability reports in the event of product recalls. </li></ul> <p>Billing and Financial Administration</p> <ul> <li>Generate and format invoices for third-party payment processing. </li><li>Audit billing for accuracy, including accessorial charges and credit memos. </li><li>Reconcile month-end invoices and perform invoice audits. </li><li>Manage collections of outstanding invoices and escalate disputed receivable as needed. </li></ul> <p>General Administrative Support/Appointment Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Greet and assist facility visitors in a professional manner. </li><li>Configure customer profiles within the Warehouse Management System and respond to ad hoc service requests. </li><li>Maintain and update slot schedules via company link, including ad hoc appointment modifications. </li><li>Assign carrier appointments and respond to appointment or load status inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>1-2 years of experience in customer service or logistics operations. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics, business, or related field is a plus. </li><li>Experience in logistics or food supply industries preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong typing skills. </li><li>Familiarity with logistics management software (e.g., Vendor Management System) is a plus. </li><li>Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to multitask and stay organized in a demanding environment. </li></ul> <p>Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship now or at any time in the future.</p> <p>Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:</p> <p>The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.</p> <p>This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.</p> <p>Benefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance </li><li>Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off </li><li>401(k) plan and contributions </li><li>Long-term/Short-term Disability </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer: The hourly rate, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
