<p>Description</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Under the direct supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Specialist will facilitate admissions processing and communication for potential students to the College. Primary functions will include admissions application processing and outreach throughout the enrollment cycle.</p> <p>Knowledge & Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Provides assistance with Admissions-related needs in the Student Success Center. </li><li>Builds and delivers correspondence using the College's CRM and email platforms. </li><li>Works within the College's CRM and document management software to facilitate the movement of student applications and transcripts through admissions workflows. </li><li>Utilizes CFNC Cross Connect to import the CFNC application and student transcripts. </li><li>Uses Datatel's Colleague to process, admit, and maintain applicant records. </li><li>Reviews applicant data for SAT/ACT scores, placement test, and credits to determine the need for placement testing. </li><li>Maintains and updates admission records and student files. </li><li>Assist prospective students as needed through the admissions journey from initial inquiry to application completion. </li><li>Ensures compliance with all State Residency and International Student policies. </li><li>Ensures compliance with all FERPA regulations. </li><li>Communicates with other college staff to ensure best practices, efficient workflow and integrated student services. </li><li>Collaborate with other College divisions to resolve state and federal reporting errors. </li><li>Supports the JCC Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) committee in planning communication to applicants and newly admitted students. </li><li>Assist in the implementation of the comprehensive recruitment plan for potential students. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities</p> <p>Minimum & Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education and Experience Minimum:</p> <p>Associate's degree in a related field or at least 3 years of experience in an office or education setting.</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Language Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. </li><li>Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. </li><li>Preferred: Mastery of conversational Spanish </li></ul> <p>Mathematical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. </li><li>Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. </li></ul> <p>Reasoning Ability</p> <ul> <li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables i n situations where only limited standardization exists. </li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. </li><li>Preferred: Basic understanding of Ellucian Colleague and Hyland OnBase or other document imaging systems. </li></ul> <p>PhysicalDemands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
