<p>Overview</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.</p> <p>Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.</p> <p>Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.</p> <p>Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.</p> <p>Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.</p> <p>Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.</p> <p>Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.</p> <p>Completes assigned goals.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Specifications</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Associates degree in related field</p> <p>Training</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Special Skills</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.</p> <p>Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Licensure</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
