Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuroimmunology</p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and talented candidate with a strong background in neuroimmunology or neuroscience for a postdoctoral fellowship in the allergy and immunology laboratory of Charles Schuler at the University of Michigan within the Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center. Our laboratory focuses on understanding the effector phase of anaphylaxis using a combination of in vitro and in vivo modeling, human anaphylaxis tissue sampling, and multi-omics. All projects in the laboratory have strong translational components including involvement in basic experimental studies in humans, which are ongoing. Successful candidates will become part of a productive, supportive, and collaborative team of researchers conducting integrated translational and clinical research. We have a strong commitment to mentorship and a growing track record of success. The position will be funded from NIH research and training grants and donor/institutional support at the University of Michigan.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in molecular and cellular biology and neuroimmunology/neuroscience-related techniques, a record of productivity, excellent oral and written communication skills, and will be capable of leading research projects that unravel how food anaphylaxis propagates systemically. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in the laboratory is paramount. The ideal candidate will pursue innovative and exciting projects to foster an independent research career.
