<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Emerging Contaminants Initiatives Coordinator:</p> <p>This position leads the coordination and implementation of multi-program, multi-division, and agency-wide work to address the scientific and technical aspects of emerging contaminants in Wisconsin. This position may serve on several other Department leadership teams as a representative of the Environmental Management Division. This position will coordinate the review of technical documents, develop informational material, develop metrics and reporting tools, and assist the division in proactively planning and managing programs and budgets to support statewide work across environmental media. This position may help coordinate department-wide, division-wide or program-specific science policies and projects related to PFAS and emerging contaminants as assigned by the OEC Director, Deputy Division Administrator, Division Administrator, or the Secretary's Office. This position works regularly with the DNR legislative team, EM Division Administrator, Deputy Division Administrator and Program Directors in the division, and the Secretary's office as directed. The department may not use this position to conduct enforcement activity under Ch. 292.</p> <p>Please review the Position Description for more details on this position.</p> <p>Emerging Contaminant and PFAS Program Coordinator</p> <p>This position provides expertise in assessing and planning for the effective execution of services provided by the Department of Natural Resources (department). This position has responsibility for assessing, supporting and planning for the various programs and requirements to address emerging contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), in Wisconsin. Work includes coordinating and implementing program or policy assignments as outlined in state statute, including the ongoing evaluation of programs, policies, or services and, as needed, assisting program managers and the division management teams with day-to-day delivery of those program and policy assignments. This position will consult with and support leadership at the Bureau and Division levels with PFAS program-related issues. This position may help coordinate department-wide, division-wide or program specific PFAS policy issues, state and/or federal legislation and policy, and special projects assigned by the SFP Section Manager, RR Program Director, Deputy Division Administrator, Division Administrator, or the Secretary's Office. This position may help coordinate intra- and interdivisional projects and processes. This position plays a lead role in assisting the RR Program with emerging contaminants, including PFAS, program integration, innovation, issue management, program evaluation, strategic planning, budget development and monitoring, team management and stakeholder engagement.</p> <p>Please review the Position Description for more details on this position.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting pay for these positions is between $38.11 to $43.26 per hour ($79,268.80 to $89,980.80 annually). These positions are within the Natural Resources Program Coordinator classification included in Pay Schedule/Range 15/03. A 12-month Probationary Period may be required.</p> <p>These positions are not represented by a collective bargaining unit.
