It's what makes us a leader in our industry.</p> <p>This job is primarily responsible for inventory control management (purchasing, tracking, and storage) of both low value consumable supplies and high value mechanical and electrical parts and components. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily communication with customers, managers, and contractors to help efficiently coordinate activities and maintain proper inventory supply levels.</p> <p>In this job, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Accountable for ensuring appropriate parts, components, and supplies as needed for location(s) to provide services and products to meet customer needs and standards. </li><li>Work with management on approved vendor list, and provide reports on scheduled vendor evaluations (e.g. evaluations for pricing schedules, timeliness and consistency). </li><li>Maintain a close working relationship with approved vendors to ensure they can meet our purchasing needs. </li><li>Make purchases from approved vendor(s), inspect product(s) upon arrival, and ensure proper delivery and/or storage for immediate and/or future use. </li><li>Order and issue safety wear as needed. </li><li>Work with accounting to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors. </li><li>Perform or supervise physical inventory counts, including ensuring accurate documentation of inventory storage/location. </li><li>Prepare and distribute various inventory reports (e.g. inventory on hand and inventory usage). </li><li>Identify requirements for equipment parts; review recommended replacement schedules and secure the necessary parts and ordering schedules for equipment and supplies. </li><li>May work with contractors assisting in projects to ensure proper equipment, parts, and supplies are on hand. </li><li>Keep inventory areas clean. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you will need to be considered:</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Required - High school diploma</p> <p>Preferred - Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Preferred - One year purchasing and/or inventory experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the respective equipment, and various parts. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to operate heavy equipment, such as forklift; where applicable. </li><li>Effective computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization. </li><li>Strong decision making, negotiation, and conflict management skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Strong time management and prioritization skills, with ability to remain flexible to changing priorities. </li><li>Strong technical skills about relevant local standards. </li><li>Ability to work during non-standard business hours that may include evening, nighttime, weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours. </li></ul> <p>Here's additional information you need to know:</p> <p>Physical Demands & Requirements</p> <p>Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</p> <p>Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.</p> <p>The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.</p> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <p>The work environment described here are meant to be representative of those an employee would normally encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.</p> <p>The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside where there are limited extremes to heat and/or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
