<p>About the Role:</p> <p>Grade Level (for internal use):</p> <p>12</p> <p>The Role: Director, Sales: Project Finance & Infrastructure</p> <p>The Team: The S&P Global Commercial Team is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes with a broad set of clients in U.S. & Canada. We are a close-knit team and collaborate continually to brainstorm solutions that help our clients overcome their complex business challenges. The team is competitive, sales-focused, energetic, and intellectually curious.</p> <p>Objective: Seeking a proven and experienced individual to expand our portfolio of infrastructure/project finance business. In addition, manage and develop relationships with existing issuers, project sponsors, and intermediaries.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and manage effective operational systems and processes to support sales strategy and broaden S&P's infrastructure/project finance portfolio across North America. Track customer & industry developments/trends to identify opportunities and respond accordingly.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand customer problems and identify ways to help clients address them. Manage all commercial aspects of S&P relationships with infrastructure & project finance issuers.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify upselling opportunities through insight-based sales strategies for complex clients.</p> </li><li> <p>Leverage advanced communication and negotiation skills to gain client buy-in and optimize revenue.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver insights on both existing product functionality/use cases as well as explore new product opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote and insightfully sell S&P sustainability solutions. Coordinate with Sustainable Finance colleagues to uncover opportunities within the infrastructure portfolio.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide high-touch client service to the intermediary (primarily banking) community to ensure S&P is well-positioned on their transactional flow.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize and maintain Salesforce data to monitor pipeline and opportunity status for revenue management.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as an expert and coach colleagues on complex matters; provide the pulse of the market to senior management.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an optimized customer experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare data & key insights for monthly reporting.</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Established sales experience in North America Infrastructure/Project Finance.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness in providing timely and premier service to internal/external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate emotional intelligence by actively listening and responding empathetically; analyze client information quickly, respond logically, and use data to influence client purchase decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Extensive background in the debt capital markets.</p> </li><li> <p>Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams; works collaboratively with others to build trust and foster a sense of shared purpose.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven record of maintaining strong relationships with key Infrastructure/Project finance market participants.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong adaptability skills, able to shift priorities and actions as team objectives shift; strong presentation, communication, and customer service skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptional skills in listening to clients, articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Desire to continuously learn and help others develop as well.</p> </li><li> <p>Creativity in generating new ideas and thinking outside the box; strong and demonstrated expertise/working knowledge of the Project Finance business.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred).</p> </li><li> <p>An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years of sales experience in financial services</p> </li><li> <p>Proven track record of sales success.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in working with Rating Agencies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Sustainable Finance/Environmental, Social & Governance.</p> </li></ul> <p>Right to Work Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.</p> <p>Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,100 to $250,000.
