<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate professionally and often with parents, staff, students and the community. Lead the PLC process as the lead learner, participant, and leader in the building. Direct, attend and supervise all activities of the school in order to develop and maintain the best possible educational program that is student centered.Assist in the selection and retention of staff personnel. Assign all staff for the best and most efficient utilization of their abilities. Facilitate professional improvement of the instructional staff. Enforce and establish disciplining procedures which allow due process to the rights of students. Familiarize students, staff and parents with disciplinary policies and procedures. Foster a positive school climate focused on excellence in all areas. Focus on continuous school improvement and develop and update the School Improvement Plan. Plan a well-balanced instructional program within the framework of the total school system. Provide leadership in continuous curriculum study, evaluation and improvement. Coordinate all programs of the school and give direction to the athletic program, fund drives and other special activities. Maintain a systematic and efficient accounting system for all funds within the school in accordance with local and state regulations. Make regular and special reports depicting the status of the school program to the Superintendent. Have the responsibility for use and care of his/her building. Function under the policies established by the Board of Education. Follow and meet the LEADS 2.0 "Proficient" level of rubric expectations. Work under the supervision of the Superintendent of Schools. Work closely with the SRO. Other duties as assigned.</p>
