<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>MizzouRec Services and Facilities is a department within the Division of Student Affairs that provides quality leisure experiences to all members of the campus community, primarily Mizzou students. Through our facilities and programs, we strive to bring our members and guests an environment that inspires and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle. MizzouRec enhances the student experience by creating a sense of "third place" and belonging with its vast services, facilities, and programming - in addition to its unique connection to campus history and traditions.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Facility Maintenance Auditor Lead supports daily facility operations by coordinating maintenance work orders, assisting with project scheduling, and conducting routine preventative maintenance audits. This position helps monitor building systems, equipment, and departmental vehicles through regular inspections, documentation, and reporting. The role also assists with surplus coordination and administrative tracking while working closely with the Building Mechanic & Facility Ops Coordinator to help maintain a safe, functional, and well-maintained facility.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Maintenance Work Order Management</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and manage maintenance work tickets within the Connect2 system. </li><li>Generate and analyze reports, compiling data for review by departmental leadership. </li><li>Update work tickets through completion or reassign them to project status when appropriate. </li><li>Submit external work requests and assist with related administrative tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Project Coordination & Scheduling</p> <ul> <li>Assist with tracking and scheduling departmental projects. </li><li>Maintain and update the shared project calendar to ensure accurate timelines. </li><li>Communicate project confirmations, updates, and scheduling details with relevant area points of contact. </li><li>Complete minor maintenance projects independently and assist the Building Mechanic with larger maintenance projects as needed. </li></ul> <p>Surplus Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate surplus equipment and material removal outside of the annual surplus cycle. </li><li>Schedule surplus pickups and assist in organizing load-out shifts with student frontline staff. </li></ul> <p>Preventative Maintenance & Facility Audits</p> <ul> <li>Conduct weekly equipment and facility preventative maintenance audits to monitor operational conditions and identify potential maintenance needs. </li><li>Document findings and compile reports for review during weekly check-ins with the Building Mechanic and Assistant Director. </li><li>Report observed facility concerns and assist with initiating work orders as needed to support timely repairs and preventative maintenance. </li><li>Inventory management and tracking of fitness equipment. </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Salary: $16.00 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis.</p> <p>Universtiy Title: Student Assistant CSM</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their University title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>Average number of hours per week: 10.</p> <p>This will be a Monday - Friday position (day and/or evening hours) with expectations to work at least one university break (Winter break 1, Winter break 2, or Spring break).</p> <p>This position will require evening and weekend hours supporting activities and programs within the department. Occasionally division and campus projects may require additional hours outside of your normal schedule</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>To be eligible for a student title, an individual must be enrolled at the University of Missouri. Enrollment in the summer session is not required if the student was enrolled in the Spring semester and is pre-enrolled for the Fall semester. Selection is contingent upon results of a review with the Office of Institutional Equity, Office of Student Accountability & Support, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, previous MU appointment history, and reference checks.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated interest or experience in facility operations, maintenance, or related hands-on work. </li><li>Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn simple maintenance and repair tasks. </li><li>Strong organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to track tasks, manage data, and maintain accurate records. </li><li>Experience using work order systems, scheduling tools, or similar software platforms (e.g., Connect2 or comparable systems). </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively share updates and collaborate with team members and supervisors. </li><li>Attention to detail when completing inspections, audits, and documentation. </li><li>Willingness to learn and take initiative in both administrative and operational aspects of the role. </li></ul> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>Complete application, and upload the following: résumé, class schedule, cover letter, and 3 or more references which must include at least 1 MU supervisor (if applicable).
