<p>The Occupational Therapist (OT) is within the PM&R service and involves evaluating patients and developing functional rehabilitation plans using various assessments and tools. Primary focus is direct patient care.</p> <p>Major Duties may include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Independently provides assessment and treatment to inpatients and outpatients based on referrals. </li><li>Using various evaluation methods for complex cases, aligning findings with patient preferences, creating care plans, and setting treatment goals to optimize outcomes. </li><li>Knowledge of the principles and techniques used for evaluation and management of disorders within scope of OT including but not limited to seating mobility, hand therapy, neurological conditions, hand splinting, ADL equipment, environmental control systems, etc. </li><li>Refer patients to other medical specialties as clinically indicated. </li><li>Completes all patient care encounters using correct CPT and diagnosis codes, maintains inventory and orders supplies as needed, and follows departmental procedures for scheduling and patient check-in/check-out. </li><li>Attend staff meetings, contribute ideas, and participate in program development, including creating and refining evaluation forms, consult templates, policies, and protocols. </li><li>Consulting with other staff, participating in patient care planning, and providing appropriate documentation and care for adult and geriatric patients. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm</p> <p>Telework: Not Available</p> <p>Virtual: This is not a virtual position.</p> <p>Functional Statement #: 09045F</p> <p>Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized</p> <p>Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p>
