<p>General Function:</p> <p>Student Aide - Adult Educational Development</p> <p>Duties of the Position:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Greet visitors and provide customer service at the front desk.</p> </li><li> <p>Answer phone calls and assist callers.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide information about High School Equivalency (HSE) and English Language Acquisition (ELA) programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct inquiries to the AED webpage for more detailed information and registration.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform data entry tasks - Sort and distribute mail.</p> </li><li> <p>File and maintain student records.</p> </li><li> <p>Keep office supplies organized and stocked.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist faculty and staff with administrative tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Help with organizing AED events.</p> </li><li> <p>Being bilingual in Spanish is an added advantage.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current enrollment at Harper College with a minimum of six credits per semester (three credits for the summer semester).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience Requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>Basic keyboarding skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, ability to multitask, and preferably some prior office or customer service experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Work Schedule:</p> </li><li> <p>Part-time schedule based on the student's availability, requiring availability during the following hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 20 hours per week.</p> </li><li> <p>Application Requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>You'll need a cover letter and resume along with your completed application.</p> </li><li> <p>Employment sponsorship is not available</p> </li></ul>
