<p>Kforce's client, headquartered in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Project Accountant to serve as a key liaison between the Finance and Construction teams. This role will oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including project setup, client billing, subcontractor payments, reporting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the project accounting lifecycle while supporting informed decision-making across departments.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee project financials, including revenue, costs, and margins, ensuring accurate data flow through company systems </li><li>Set up and maintain project budgets, contracts, and financial records in accounting and project management systems </li><li>Prepare and issue accurate client invoices, ensuring compliance with contract terms, tax requirements, and timely collections </li><li>Partner with Project Managers on financial management, including subcontractor billing, supplier accounts, and change orders </li><li>Compile and analyze cost forecasts and budget-to-actual results to support informed project and management decisions </li><li>Coordinate subcontractor payments, verifying documentation and alignment with approved contracts and change orders </li><li>Support month-end close, reporting, and forecasting activities for assigned projects* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance </li><li>2-3 years of experience in accounting/finance roles </li><li>Experience with Microsoft products </li><li>Project Accounting experience and/or Construction industry experience preferred </li></ul>
