RWU is committed to creating a thriving community that encourages lifelong learning, professional development, and academic innovation.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>To assist the Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor in maintaining and/or operating all electrical equipment, materials and facilities of the University.</p> <p>Electrical Distribution</p> <p>Perform all work related to the maintenance, repair and operation of the electrical distribution systems throughout the campus.</p> <p>Equipment and Lighting</p> <p>Provide maintenance, installation and repair of mechanically or electrically powered equipment and lighting.</p> <p>Voltage Systems</p> <p>Provide maintenance, installation and repair of all voltage distribution systems including low voltage, fire alarm systems and accessories.</p> <p>Additional Functions</p> <p>Electrician Master may provide direction to Electrician Journeyman and Electricians Apprentice as it pertains to the specific electrical job.</p> <p>The Electrician Journeyman may provide direction to the Electricians Apprentice as it pertains to the specific electrical job.</p> <p>This is a full-time (40-hour) Facilities Management Union position.</p> <p>$500 signing bonus after a 4-month probationary period is completed</p> <p>Competitive salary and excellent benefits package including health, dental, 15 paid holidays, tuition benefits, and a generous 403(b) match</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Employee must have current electrician masters license (Rhode Island) and a minimum of five (5) years' experience as a licensed journeyman.</p> <p>Must possess current technical knowledge of electrical and fire alarm systems.</p> <p>Must also demonstrate to the reasonable satisfaction of management, the ability to provide expert guidance, direction and remediation to apprentice and/or journeyman electricians.</p> <p>Perform any and all tasks required of the position without assistance and in a timely manner.</p> <p>At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Roger Williams University is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and com-mitted to a diverse workforce.
