<p>Assistant Professor (HEq; PMH; AG; CE and/or ANP), Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing</p> <p>FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT</p> <p>The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College is the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York (CUNY) and cultivates collaborative nurse leaders promoting wellness and championing health equity in local and global communities through excellence in education, research, scholarship, and advocacy. The School of Nursing invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor.</p> <p>The successful candidate will maintain an active program of research, develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute service to the school, college, university, and profession that is appropriate for their rank. We are particularly interested in those with specialization in health equity (HEq), psychiatric mental health (PMH), adult/gerontology (AG), community engagement (CE) and/or advanced nursing practice (ANP).</p> <p>Additional duties include responsibility for committee and School assignments, as well as administrative, supervisory, and other functions as needed to support the mission and strategic goals of the School of Nursing, Hunter College, and CUNY.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. or other research doctoral degree in nursing and eligible for a tenured faculty appointment in the School of Nursing. If earned doctorate is not in nursing, must have a master's degree in nursing. </li><li>New York State license as a registered nurse required or following hire. </li><li>New York State Nurse Practitioner Licensure (Adult/Gerontology, Family, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) is a plus. </li><li>Academic teaching experience and five (5) years of clinical experience, particularly advanced practice in health centers serving under resourced communities, is desirable. </li><li>Will demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring abilities and exemplify a commitment to health equity and belonging for all. </li><li>Research, scholarship and academic teaching experience should align with the School mission and strategic goals. </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION</p> <p>Salary range: $70,815 to $102,017 commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. We also provide mentoring and support for research, scholarship, and publication as part of our commitment to ongoing faculty professional development.</p> <p>CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
