Under the general direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, Assistant Phlebotomy Supervisor, and Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomist plays a vital role in collecting high-quality blood specimens and ensuring accurate laboratory processing.</p> <p>In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws on patients of all ages and entering laboratory requisitions into the Laboratory Information System with precision and attention to detail.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients (pediatric through adult) </li><li>Accurately process and enter specimen requisitions into the laboratory computer system </li><li>Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transport of specimens </li><li>Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during all interactions </li><li>Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards </li><li>Adapt to changing priorities and support coverage at multiple locations as needed </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience strongly preferred </li><li>Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients preferred </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Certification</p> <ul> <li>Phlebotomy certification preferred </li></ul> <p>Key Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strong venipuncture and specimen collection techniques </li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities </li><li>Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills </li><li>Flexibility to adjust priorities and travel between locations as needed </li><li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English </li><li>Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li>Be part of a collaborative and mission-driven healthcare team </li><li>Opportunities for skill development and career growth </li><li>Make a direct impact on patient diagnosis and care </li></ul>
