As a CMA, you'll administer medications, monitor patient responses, and support our nursing team in creating healthier futures for our patients.</p> <p>Why Join Us?:</p> <ul> <li>Career Growth: Start as a CMA and unlock pathways to advanced healthcare roles like LPN or RN. </li><li>Competitive Pay & Benefits: Enjoy a robust benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement for continued education. </li><li>Supportive Environment: Work in a collaborative, patient-centered team with flexible scheduling options. </li><li>Make an Impact: Be the heart of patient care, ensuring safe and effective medication administrations. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, inhalation, and mucosal) to patients in accordance with state regulations. </li><li>Adhere to the "Five Rights" of medication administration. </li><li>Monitor and report patient reactions to medications. </li><li>Assist nurses and healthcare staff in long-term care and assisted living settings. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of patient safety. </li><li>Aide in total care of grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs (ADLs). </li><li>Assist with various tasks including vital signs, resident's weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc. </li><li>Support Resthaven's mission, values, and standards of excellence </li></ul> <p>What You Need (We Provide Training!):</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or successful completion of GED. </li><li>Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements. </li><li>Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan. </li><li>Must have worked at least 2,000 hours as a nurse aide in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility during the two years prior, especially caring for the elderly with memory loss. </li><li>Completion of a Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) - approved Medication Aide training program </li><li>Successful completion of the state CMA competency exam. </li><li>Current listing on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry as CMA. </li></ul> <p>Ready to Grow Your Healthcare Career?</p> <p>If you're a certified CNA looking to advance, our CMA role is your next step!
