This is a technical lead role that will ensure the quality and output of the cable design team across all projects. This opportunity is Hybrid in Orlando, FL</p> <p>#LI-Hybrid</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager Cables, you will lead engineering deliverable assurance, staff assessments, work acquisition, safety design evaluations, project innovation, and compliance with budget and quality standards, while producing design outputs for stakeholders. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world's most critical challenges.</p> <p>Expected:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in engineering discipline </li><li>Chartership or equivalent professional experience </li><li>Extensive post graduate detailed experience of delivering HV Cable design </li><li>Awareness of key Health and Safety impacts on OHL construction contracts </li><li>Fluent spoken and written English language </li><li>Ability to work as part of a dispersed and remote team and be able to communicate through collaboration software such as Microsoft teams </li></ul> <p>Desirable:</p> <ul> <li>Experience of providing engineering inputs to HV Cable construction activities including the planning and delivery of cable construction </li><li>Experience supporting tendering activities </li><li>Experience presenting technical outputs and supporting client engagements </li></ul> <p>Typical responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead assurance activities on engineering deliverables across our team </li><li>Maintain and lead on HV Cable design staff competence assessments </li><li>Support work acquisition and development activities </li><li>Support safety by design assessments throughout the design process </li><li>Integrate and support the development of innovation within project solutions </li><li>Create design deliverables to confirm the outputs of the engineering studies to internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Ensure, as far as practicable, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and programme </li><li>Keep up to date with all technical quality management procedures, developments and specifications related to the discipline work scope </li></ul>
