<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Shift: Days, Monday-Friday</p> <p>Location: Riley Multi-Specialty Pediatrics Department</p> <p>Schedule: No weekends or holidays- ONSITE</p> <p>Role Summary</p> <p>This position plays a key role in facilitating patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. The role involves gathering financial and demographic information, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Greet and direct patients and visitors appropriately </li><li>Schedule appointments and interview patients for medical and insurance information </li><li>Explain department and hospital charges and policies </li><li>Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems </li><li>Collect necessary payments </li><li>Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information or direction </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred </li><li>Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) preferred </li><li>Familiarity with interpreting insurance information and clinical practices </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology preferred </li><li>Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) </li></ul>
