<p>Staffmark is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer in Memphis, TN! Take the lead in designing and executing conveyor system projects in the automotive industry. If you have a strong mechanical engineering background and enjoy managing projects from concept to installation, this is a direct-hire opportunity to make a real impact while enjoying a flexible schedule and competitive pay.</p> <p>Pay: Based on experience</p> <p>Schedule: Flexible</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Lead mechanical engineering for conveyor system projects from concept through installation </li><li>Design conveyor equipment, structures, supports, and layouts to meet customer specifications and industry standards </li><li>Develop 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOM), and detailed fabrication/installation documents </li><li>Perform calculations for loads, stress, tolerances, materials, and safety factors </li><li>Ensure designs comply with OSHA, ANSI, ISO, and other safety standards </li><li>Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and installation teams for complete system integration </li><li>Specify materials, components, and fabricated parts for procurement </li><li>Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning </li><li>Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site installation to maintain design integrity </li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field </li><li>5+ years of mechanical project engineering experience, preferably in automotive, conveyor, or material handling industries </li><li>Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) </li><li>Strong knowledge of material selection, fabrication, welding, machining, and structural design </li><li>Familiarity with conveyor systems, industrial automation, and material handling solutions </li><li>Experience preparing and reviewing detailed mechanical drawings and fabrication packages </li><li>Solid understanding of industry safety standards and mechanical codes </li><li>Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills </li><li>Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning (up to 25-30%) </li></ul> <p>Why You'll Love This Job:</p> <p>Our partner company can provide you with the vital benefits that you deserve.
