The roofers replace, repair, and install the roofs of buildings, using a variety of materials, including shingles, bitumen, and metal.</p> <p>Hours / Schedule: M-Th 7am-4pm & Fri 7am-11am</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Install shingles, asphalt, metal, or other materials to make the roof weatherproof. </li><li>Measure roofs to calculate the quantities of materials needed. </li><li>Replace damaged or rotting joists or plywood. </li><li>Install vapor barriers or layers of insulation. </li><li>Spray treatment chemicals on roofs and buildings to seal them from water and weather </li><li>Align roofing materials with edges of the roof </li><li>Cut roofing materials to fit around walls or vents </li><li>Cover exposed nail or screw heads with roofing cement or caulk to prevent leakage </li><li>Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers, and electric spraying tools </li><li>Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans. </li><li>Performs other duties and projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>For immediate consideration, you must:</p> <ul> <li>Be able to safely ascend/descend a ladder frequently, up to 40 feet </li><li>Be able to lift up to 75 pounds </li><li>Want to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions </li><li>Have reliable transportation </li><li>Pass a pre-employment drug screen </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school education or GED </li><li>1+ years of commercial roofing experience (preferred) </li><li>Construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus </li><li>Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy loads </li><li>Previous experience in roofing, construction, or related scope of work </li><li>Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors </li><li>General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques, and specialties </li><li>Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work </li><li>Ability to read and follow instructions from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Hourly rates are $22-$28 / hr </li><li>Medical, dental, vision and life insurance </li><li>401k and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) </li><li>Paid vacations and holidays </li><li>Employee referral bonuses </li></ul> <p>We offer full-time hours, terrific teammates and unlimited growth potential.
