<p>Job Overview:</p> <p>APTIM is seeking a Construction Manager to lead tank and seal repair projects across California refineries. This role combines hands-on project execution with client relationship management and business development support.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee projects from initial walkdowns through completion </li><li>Attend client walkdowns on current or potential scopes </li><li>Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and schedules across multiple sites </li><li>Assist with scoping as needed with clients and APTIM </li><li>Work with site supervision to identify scope of work changes and ensure proper communication about changes take place </li><li>Participate in estimate reviews </li><li>Procure material and fabrication through the APTIM requisition system </li><li>Participate in bi-weekly financial reviews and weekly reviews of billable and non-billable spending </li><li>Understand project schedules / deliverable dates and help drive APTIM sites to meet or exceed expectations </li><li>Assist sites with manpower needs and communicate with Local Halls as needed </li><li>Ensure sites are provided with up-to-date work packages, drawings, or scoping details -- help manage documents/files </li><li>Participate in cultivating new business opportunities / Help sale APTIM services to existing and new clients </li><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships </li><li>Conduct site safety audits and uphold safety and quality standards </li><li>Participate in both APTIM and client safety audits </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of construction management experience (industrial/refinery preferred) </li><li>Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel) </li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Be able to interact well in a dynamic office team environment </li></ul> <p>About APTIM</p> <p>APTIM enhances the quality of the environment, wellbeing of people, resilience of communities, and opportunity for employees to make a difference, not just a living.
