No VP Area Academic Affairs Department 02203 - Youth & Personal Enrichment Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range 15.00-17.00 Close Date 06/10/2026 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary</p> <p>This is a seasonal COUNSELOR role for Club U's "Lounge" after-care program (M-F afternoons) for campers ages 5-14 and is best suited for individuals with morning/day classes or employment. Counselors are responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.</p> <p>Join us in furthering the mission of Club U Summer Day Camp through the delivery of summer program activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers' age and abilities under the supervision of the Club U leadership team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Supervise, direct, and manage behavior of campers ages 5-14.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead and participate in loosely structured activities such as sports & games, arts & crafts, and more.</p> </li><li> <p>Daily communication with camper guardians and camp leadership staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid certification provided during training (if not already obtained).</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Must demonstrate an interest in learning about child development and guidance; a willingness to take direction from the assigned teacher; Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) background check, first aid training are required. Demonstrated human relation and effective human relations skills are also required.</p> <p>Preferences</p> <p>Experience and/or interest in working with youth in a high energy, outdoor setting.</p> <p>At least 18 years of age.</p> <p>Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
