Employees work in a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement, professional development, and the use of advanced technologies to enhance clinical workflows and outcomes.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Senior Device Integration Engineer focuses on integrating clinical devices with EHR systems. This role is responsible for ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of integrated clinical devices supported by the Masimo interface. The position leads collaboration across internal teams-including Interfaces, EHR Application Teams, Clinical Engineering, and Infrastructure-as well as external vendors and partners.</p> <p>The Senior Engineer leads integration projects following the organization's IT System Lifecycle methodology, produces functional and technical specifications, conducts meetings, coordinates system upgrades, and oversees volume testing. The role ensures adherence to IT change management processes, provides guidance to team members, and may be assigned special projects as needed.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver high-quality work and meet responsibilities in a timely manner. </li><li>Work with user groups to develop functional business requirements aligned with standard IT project methodology. </li><li>Lead resolution of cross-functional issues throughout development, testing, implementation, and support. </li><li>Support production environments, troubleshoot technical application issues, document incoming requests, and provide high-quality support during new device implementations. </li><li>Provide clinical device-related guidance to other team members. </li><li>Participate in rotating on-call coverage. </li><li>Maintain and write documentation and procedures for managing integrated clinical devices within the EHR. </li><li>Provide regular updates on task and project status. </li><li>Complete all mandatory education and maintain applicable certifications. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. </li><li>5-8 years of related experience in an Information Services department or software vendor organization within the healthcare industry. </li><li>Advanced technical computer skills relevant to the functional area and systems supported. </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Decision Making: Makes decisions guided by policies, precedents, and departmental objectives. </li><li>Problem Solving: Handles highly varied, complex, and non-recurring issues using innovative and Lean diagnostic techniques. </li><li>Independence of Action: Sets goals and determines how to achieve results with broad guidance from leadership. </li><li>Written Communication: Summarizes and communicates moderately complex information in written form. </li><li>Oral Communication: Communicates complex verbal information effectively with staff, patients, families, and external partners. </li><li>Knowledge: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of relevant concepts, practices, and policies. </li><li>Teamwork: Acts as a team leader for small projects or work groups, fostering collaboration and improving workflows. </li><li>Customer Service: Provides high-level customer service and training, resolving issues promptly and respectfully. </li></ul> <p>Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
