This leadership role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and coordination of all project activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry standards. The Director will manage a team of project managers and work closely with other departments including Energy Optimization and Engineering to deliver projects on time and within budget.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Project Planning and Execution</p> <ul> <li>Develop comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, timeline, resources, and budget for each solar project. </li><li>Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are met. </li><li>Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project progression. </li><li>Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques. </li><li>Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution. </li></ul> <p>Team Management</p> <ul> <li>Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. </li><li>Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. </li><li>Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. </li><li>Ensure that all team members have the necessary training and resources to succeed in their roles. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder Engagement</p> <ul> <li>Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. </li><li>Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders through regular updates and reports. </li><li>Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are met. </li></ul> <p>Financial Management</p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource allocation. </li><li>Monitor project expenditures and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budget. </li><li>Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management. </li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. </li></ul> <p>Quality Assurance</p> <ul> <li>Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality. </li><li>Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify project integrity and compliance with specifications. </li><li>Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the solar or renewable energy industry. </li><li>Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial and industrial solar projects. </li><li>Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. </li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. </li><li>Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent). </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. </li><li>Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills. </li><li>Commitment to sustainability and renewable energy principles. </li></ul> <p>Work Life at Altus</p> <p>Our team is the asset we are most proud of.
