<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Junior- Mechanical / Electrical Shop Technician is an apprentice level skilled tradesperson that has experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic applications and assemblies</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Electro-Mechanical integration of burners and associated components, including assembly and plumbing. </li><li>Wiring and fabrication of electrical control panels and systems. </li><li>Ability to read or learn to read, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and assemble components according to those schematics. </li><li>Highly skilled in marking/identification of wires as well as installing wires through conduit under supervision. </li><li>Ability wire in control panels, motors, and blowers using supplied drawings and schematics under supervision. </li><li>Ability to identify and install the correct hydraulic fittings per material lists and supplied drawings. </li><li>Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at one time. </li><li>Completes assigned tasks efficiently and with an attention to detail and quality. </li><li>Being able to develop problem solving skills in the installation of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic installation according to schematics. </li><li>Commitment to safety in the workplace. </li><li>Willingness to learn and elevate their skill level. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred in related field. </li><li>2+ years of electrical/mechanical/hydraulic experience. </li><li>Knowledge of the basic concepts of electrical and hydraulic installation. </li><li>Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions when dealing with electrical components and hydraulics. </li><li>Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). </li><li>Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts. </li><li>Must have basic computer skills as well as the ability to learn automation systems (PLC, HMI, process controls). </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization. </li><li>Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. </li><li>Ability to work with peers and management in a positive team atmosphere. </li><li>Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines. </li><li>Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, etc. </li><li>Ability to work overtime as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Helpful Related Previous Experience</p> <ul> <li>HVAC Technician </li><li>Electrical Assembly </li><li>Boiler Maintenance Technician </li><li>Controls Field Technician </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see. </li><li>Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. </li><li>Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals. </li><li>The noise level in the work environment may be high. </li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. </li></ul> <p>#LI-KA1</p> <p>Matthews Memorialization is a leader in the memorialization industry who is committed to helping customers grow their businesses and helping families move from grieving to remembrance by providing products of superior craftsmanship and revenue generating programs and services.
