GRL provides reinsurance and related services in the following lines of business: Individual Life, Individual Disability, Group Life & AD&D, Group LTD, Medicare supplement and Critical Illness.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform medical case consultations/referrals with underwriting, to include life, disability, and critical illness. </li><li>Conduct research to review and update underwriting manuals for life and disability. </li><li>Provide education surrounding medical cases and standards to underwriting team. </li><li>Prepare and deliver presentations/seminars to internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Remain up to date with advances in medicine and innovations in risk selection processes </li><li>Perform medical underwriting-related research and special projects as needed. </li><li>Contribute to insurance medicine associations (e.g., planning meetings, speaking, setting professional standards). </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Role Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>MD or DO degree with current unrestricted license to practice medicine (required)</p> </li><li> <p>Board Certified in Insurance Medicine</p> </li><li> <p>ABMS certification</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience in insurance medicine</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in Disability insurance preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 5 years clinical medicine experience</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills, written skills, and computer knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to present at meetings and perform training sessions</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work EST hours (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>155,000.00 - 259,000.00 USD</p> <p>The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the US and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.</p> <p>Our Corporate Headquarters Address</p> <p>General Reinsurance Corporation</p> <p>400 Atlantic Street, 9th Floor</p> <p>Stamford, CT 06901 (US)</p> <p>At General Re Corporation, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
