<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Architect-Senior / Project Manager provides professional architectural expertise to the DMA construction program. The employee performs architectural work which includes multi and cross-program issues. This position has architectural responsibilities which require high-level contacts with public and private officials and architect/engineer consultants on complex architectural/engineering reviews. An employee in this position will make independent decisions and perform work in response to program needs as interpreted by the employee with the work being reviewed after the decisions have been made. This position will serve as Project Manager of projects ranging in size and scope and various disciplines. This position works under the general supervision of the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) Construction and Facility Management Office (CFMO) Design and Project Management Branch (DPM) Chief.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting pay is between $44.00 and $47.00/ hr.</p> <p>This position is in the 14-13 pay schedule/range. A 12-month probation will be required.</p> <p>This position will work full-time / 40 hours per week. The exact schedule will be determined with the finalist upon job offer.</p> <p>For current permanent state employees, pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>To learn more about the complete compensation package, please visit the Total Rewards Calculator.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy to drive a state vehicle.</p> <p>State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy:</p> <p>Must have a valid driver's license</p> <p>Minimum of two year's driving experience</p> <p>Must be 18 years of age or older</p> <p>Additionally, the driving record must not reflect the following conditions:</p> <p>Three or more moving violations (with point reductions) and/or at fault accidents in the past 2 years</p> <p>An OWI or DUI violation within the past 12 months</p> <p>A suspension or revocation of the driver's license</p> <p>Must be able to routinely travel throughout the State of Wisconsin and periodically out of state for coordination and training.</p> <p>In order to gain access to the military facilities and to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled, DMA will conduct a comprehensive background check.</p> <p>In addition, the position requires a Common Access Card (CAC). A CAC requires successful completion of a Department of Defense investigation which is an additional more in-depth federal background check, for gaining access to federal computer systems, restricted locations, or classified information.</p> <p>The Department of Military Affairs does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9.</p> <p>This is a State of Wisconsin Civil Service position. The DMA does not require current or previous military experience.</p> <p>All new permanent, project, and limited term employees will be required to report to Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) in Madison on the Monday of their first week of employment for the New Employee Orientation (NEO) program. Additional information will be sent to the new employees and their supervisors on the Tuesday prior to NEO.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates who meet minimum qualifications will have either or both of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Must be registered as an Architect as determined by the Department of Safety and Professional Services per s. 443.03 Wis. Stats. </li></ul> <p>AND/ OR</p> <ul> <li>Have graduated from a recognized/ accredited college or university with a degree in architecture. </li></ul> <p>Your resume and letter of qualification are very important parts of your application.
