Apply today!</p> <p>Under the supervision of the Senior Construction Project Manager, you</p> <ul> <li>Perform general construction inspections and oversee County construction and renovation projects.  </li><li>Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and tradespersons.  </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the department and County personnel, contractors, subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, AHJ's, temporary employees, and the public. </li><li>Read and interpret plans and specifications including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, telecom, and low voltage. </li><li>Read and interpret contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, Architect's Supplemental Instructions, and change orders. </li><li>Utilize basic knowledge of Federal, State, and County regulations, building codes, ADA guidelines, construction principles and procedures, and safety policies and procedures. </li><li>Inspect work to ensure compliance with project contract documents, plans, and specifications.  </li><li>Keep your immediate supervisor and designated others updated and informed concerning work progress, including any potential issues.  </li><li>Recognize construction flaws and provide suggestions for new or improved ways to address construction issues.  </li><li>Attend/hold job site construction progress meetings and generate and maintain daily construction reports, logs, and project punch lists.  </li><li>Review and approve laboratory test results, contractor invoices, pay requests, change orders, as-builts, and close-out documents.  </li><li>Write scopes of work, supervise, monitor, generate punch list, and approve invoices for smaller projects. </li><li>Work both on-site and in the office to perform duties. </li><li>Supervise multiple sites. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED, and  </li><li>At least five (5) years of Commercial Construction Superintendent or Construction Management experience; or  </li><li>An equivalent combination of training and experience.    </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. </li><li>Must be able to work in various terrains and weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in construction or a related field. </li></ul>
