<p>Library Clerk I</p> <p>Part-time</p> <p>| $13.00/hr</p> <p>Department: Sumner County Library System</p> <p>The Hendersonville Public Library of Sumner County is seeking applicants for a part-time position at the rate of $13.00 per hour. Mature, dependable individuals are invited to apply. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are available depending on the needs of the department.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Assists library patrons with use of library materials, equipment, and services. </li><li>Issues library cards to eligible patrons, creates and maintains library accounts. Ensures that </li></ul> <p>all information is up to date.</p> <ul> <li>Ensures that loaned materials are returned in a timely manner and/or appropriate notices are </li></ul> <p>sent out regarding overdue books, audio books, etc.</p> <ul> <li>Assists with the collection of fees for past due materials and books, reconciles fines in </li></ul> <p>accounts.</p> <ul> <li>Checks books and other materials in or out in accordance with existing policies and </li></ul> <p>procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Reshelves and ensures the proper organization of books and other materials. </li><li>Answers reference questions and assists patrons with locating requested books, reference </li></ul> <p>materials, audio books, etc.</p> <ul> <li>Answers incoming calls and provides information to the caller and/or refers to the appropriate </li></ul> <p>personnel.</p> <ul> <li>Organizes daily newspapers and other periodicals for library patrons. </li><li>Assists with maintaining an accurate inventory of all library books, audio books, cd's, </li></ul> <p>equipment, and supplies.</p> <ul> <li>Cleans and maintains the library facility including bathrooms, shelves, and furniture. </li><li>Provides assistance to other employees or departments as needed. </li><li>Performs other related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <p>? Commonly utilized computer programs including Microsoft Office</p> <p>Ability to:</p> <p>?
