<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is part of the License Plate and Postal Services Unit, which handles acquisition, inventory management and distribution of up to 1.5 million Wisconsin license plates, related validation stickers and disabled hang tags annually. The unit collects, processes and delivers thousands of pieces of incoming and outgoing mail for the department. This also includes sorting and routing mail to other state agencies located at 4822 Madison Yards Way in Madison and acting as the liaison between the building's agencies and DOA Mail Transportation. This position responsible for auditing, management, and distribution of registration materials including vehicle titles, certificates of registration, license plates, validation stickers and related materials.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range 02-10. The starting pay for this position is $20.63/hr, plus excellent benefits. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>This state agency does not sponsor work visas. This state agency is not enrolled in USCIS E-Verify and is not eligible to employ international F-1 students seeking STEM-OPT extension. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check which may include FBI fingerprinting.</p> <p>This position may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan, while working full-time for a qualifying employer. You may be able to qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program if you work for Wisconsin State Government.</p> <p>This position requires the ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds with occasional lifting up to 70 pounds. This position requires repeated bending, lifting, standing and walking for long periods of time. This position will operate manual and electric skid jacks.</p> <p>This recruitment may be used to fill similar vacancies that may occur in the next 6 months.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience providing customer service, which may be via face-to-face, phone, email, etc. </li><li>Experience using computer software to complete tasks, which may include tasks such as data entry, creating letters, using search functions, using spreadsheets, etc. </li></ul> <p>In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience researching and resolving customer issues or concerns. </li><li>Experience following complex policies, rules, or information. </li><li>Experience multi-tasking while ensuring accuracy of work, including determining priorities and urgency in response to changing and simultaneous assignments or conditions. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
