The focus will be on addressing skill gaps and improving mathematical understanding through differentiated instruction and personalized interventions. The Interventionist will collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators to implement multi-tiered support systems (MTSS) and enhance student achievement in mathematics.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education: Illinois Professional Educator License</p> <p>Experience: A minimum of 4 years of successful classroom teaching experience in mathematics, with evidence of excellent performance and student achievement in recent evaluations</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Endorsement(s) in Mathematics, Elementary Education, Instructional Coaching, Curriculum and Instruction, or Teacher Leader Program </li><li>Experience with data-driven instruction </li><li>Knowledge of Illinois State Learning Standards for Mathematics and Common Core standards </li><li>Familiarity with tools such as NWEA for student data analysis </li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written </li></ul> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:</p> <ul> <li>Provide targeted push-in and pull-out math instruction to Tier 2 and Tier 3 students in grades 6-8, focusing on closing skill gaps and improving mathematical understanding. </li><li>Serve as a liaison for the MTSS program, supporting the integration of district math initiatives and the school's intervention efforts. </li><li>Collaborate with school and district administrators to implement multi-tiered support systems, using data from formative and summative assessments to guide instructional decisions. </li><li>Lead regular meetings of the school's MTSS instructional team, offering leadership, coaching, and support for teachers implementing intervention and instructional strategies. </li><li>Develop and implement math intervention strategies that align with district standards and meet individual student needs. </li><li>Guide teachers in progress monitoring, data collection, and analyzing student achievement in math. </li><li>Utilize data to inform instructional planning, monitor student progress, and adjust interventions at the core, supplemental, and intensive levels. </li><li>Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to improve math achievement across all student groups. </li><li>Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students. </li><li>Regularly monitor student progress and communicate with parents and school leadership regarding students' academic growth. </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <p>Salary Information as per the Zion's Education Association, Collective bargaining agreement - LINK</p>
