Provide proactive education and outreach to the campus community on topics related to community standards. Be responsible for comprehensive case management, data analysis, and the development of educational initiatives aimed at promoting a respectful and safe community environment.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>In the area of Investigation and Adjudication:</p> <p>Conduct thorough investigations of alleged community standards violations on and off campus.</p> <p>Adjudicate cases in accordance with institutional policies, ensuring fair and consistent application of community standards.</p> <p>In the area of Case Management:</p> <p>Manage the intake, tracking, and resolution of student conduct cases, providing support and guidance throughout the process.</p> <p>Ensure all cases are handled with confidentiality and professionalism.</p> <p>In the area of Education and Outreach:</p> <p>Develop and implement educational programs, workshops, and materials on topics such as community standards, student rights and responsibilities, conflict resolution, and restorative practices to educate students and staff.</p> <p>In the area of Collaboration:</p> <p>Partner with various campus departments, including Student Services, Residential Life, and academic units, to foster a collaborative approach to community standards and student conduct management.</p> <p>OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Represent the Office of Community Standards on University, Division, and other committees and at University events.</p> <p>Perform additional duties as necessary.</p> <p>LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:</p> <p>Personal computers and printers; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of three years' experience working professionally with college students.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated collaborative work style.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to support student education and/or student growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.</p> </li></ol> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Master's degree.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience with Maxient software.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience with campus conduct systems.</p> </li></ol> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>The University of Rhode Island is an equal-opportunity employer committed to the principles of affirmative action.
