<p>2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts specifically for cable harness assemblies and subassemblies. You will interpret engineering prints to design processes and collaborate with design engineering to improve production efficiency. Your role will involve supporting the production floor by working closely with the operations team and focusing on continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will design, procure, and implement tooling to enhance manufacturing processes and may incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. You will inspect the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, investigate, and initiate corrective actions for any problems or deficiencies to ensure product quality. You will provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to optimally utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques while ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for cable harness assemblies and subassemblies. </li><li>Interpret engineering prints to design processes and collaborate with design engineering to improve production efficiency. </li><li>Support the production floor by working with the operations team and focusing on continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes. </li><li>Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan as necessary. </li><li>Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency. </li><li>Investigate and initiate corrective actions for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. </li><li>Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. </li><li>Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and specifications. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>General assembly experience - minimum 2 years required. </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD - minimum 1 year required. </li><li>Blueprint reading skills - minimum 1 year required. </li><li>Experience with cable harness - minimum 1 year required. </li><li>Wire harness print reading skills - minimum 1 year required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards is beneficial. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>You will work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that focuses on continuous improvement and quality assurance. The role requires collaboration with design engineering and operations teams, utilizing technologies such as AutoCAD. The environment supports the use of specialized tooling and equipment to enhance manufacturing processes.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $43.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
