This role includes data entry, prescription filling, and rotating cashier responsibilities while working in a collaborative team environment focused on delivering excellent patient service and achieving shared operational goals.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works 40 hours per week on rotating shifts between 8:00am and 4:00pm or 10:00am and 6:00pm.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting. </li><li>Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients. </li><li>Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy. </li><li>Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items. </li><li>Operate the point-of-sale cash register system. </li><li>Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products. </li><li>Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED </li></ul> <p>Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application:</p> <ul> <li>Must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP). </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Please note: A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role. However, please visit the apprenticeship program to express interest: https://talentcommunity.clevelandclinic.org/campaign/apprentiship-programs/ )</p> <ul> <li>It is required, within 18 months from the date of hire: Must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) AND Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Six months of hospital experience </li><li>Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program </li><li>Prior outpatient experience </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $21.50</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $31.00</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
