<p>The AV Events Team provides comprehensive event support throughout the lifecycle of large-scale corporate events. The team is comprised of individuals skilled in AV technical pre-production, equipment recommendations, and live event technical execution. We are seeking an AV Events Technician to offer ancillary event support services. The role may involve assisting with starting an in-room presentation, providing dedicated technical support for in-room AV equipment, and potentially working flexible hours, including after normal business hours or on weekends.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Acting as event production A1 or A2, Graphics or TD/switching depending on show needs. </li><li>Set up, configuration, operation, and facilitating support for event productions. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all audio and video production items for events. </li><li>Ensure a well-produced event for both streaming and event space experience. </li><li>Use and follow the run-of-show document as a guide for proper show flow. </li><li>Partner with other crew members on the execution of elements both prior to and during shows. </li><li>Attending pre-show production meetings with crew to review responsibilities. </li><li>Ensure testing of all show playback elements for proper play out. </li><li>Following the event content closely to execute with maximum quality. </li><li>Be responsible for ensuring that proper audio levels and video feeds for records are precise. </li><li>Manage gear configuration upgrades and developing new show elements. </li><li>Work with presenters to properly place and track lav microphones. </li><li>Prepare, organize, and track handheld microphones and other equipment as needed. </li><li>Reset space after events to pre-production standards. </li><li>Note any equipment failures and report to AV team. </li></ul> <p>Equipment Expertise:</p> <ul> <li>AV Signal Flow & Troubleshooting </li><li>Video Routers: Evertz, Blackmagic, Crestron </li><li>Video Switchers: Panasonic AV-HS Series, Blackmagic, Ross Carbonite, Barco E2 </li><li>Video Recording Devices: PIX, AJA KiPro, Blackmagic HyperDeck </li><li>Audio Mixers: Yamaha TF, QL series, Mackie, Shure </li><li>Microphones: Shure QLX, ULX series, Sennheiser, Lectrosonics </li><li>Lighting Boards: ETC Element, Leprecon </li><li>PTZ Cameras: Panasonic AW-HE series + controller </li><li>Cameras: Sony XDCAM series, Panasonic P2 series, Blackmagic </li><li>Misc: Perfect Cue, Countdown clock, Internet Clicker </li><li>Software: Zoom, Google Suite, Google Meet, Google Slides, Keynote, Slack, Dante Controller, </li></ul> <p>Smaart 8, Mbox/Qlab/Playback Pro/Quicktime</p> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience working on corporate events in a corporate setting. </li><li>Advanced understanding of current audio/video standards and equipment. </li><li>Ability to program and operate switchers, graphics, mixers, microphones, and all ancillary audio </li></ul> <p>gear.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to simplify AV technical information, workflows, and terminology for those who may not be </li></ul> <p>familiar with the AV technologies.</p> <p>Soft Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Detailed oriented and motivated self-starter. </li><li>Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet aggressive deadlines. </li><li>Ability to adapt and work well with varied personalities. </li><li>High level of professionalism and ability to be helpful and maintain composure under pressure. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal guidance but aren't afraid to ask the right questions </li></ul> <p>when you need help.</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>AVIXA CTS (preferred but not required) </li></ul>
