<p>Job Title: Electrical Designer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and over four years of electrical design experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit and have expertise in creating lighting, power, and systems design packages. Strong knowledge of electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, panel scheduling, and distribution system design across various building types is essential. The candidate should be comfortable attending client meetings, coordinating with consultants, and representing the organization professionally. A strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and standards is required, along with experience in mentoring juniors and reviewing their work.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design most electrical systems independently using company standards, templates, and project-specific logic. </li><li>Perform detailed load and voltage drop calculations. </li><li>Participate in the layout and coordination of advanced electrical rooms and complex systems. </li><li>Perform ComCheck lighting calculations for code compliance. </li><li>Apply NEC and other codes fluently. </li><li>Lead coordination and documentation on projects. </li><li>Attend project meetings. </li><li>Review shop drawings independently. </li><li>Provide redlines, guidance, and training to Level 1 and 2 engineers. </li><li>Help onboard junior team members and embrace the company culture. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Electrical Design </li><li>Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD </li><li>Knowledge of NEC Code </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Professional communication skills </li><li>Experience with EIT or PE </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong organization skills and time management </li><li>Professional communication skills </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid schedule allowing 1-2 days of work from home.
