<p>Description</p> <p>Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for an HR Benefits/Payroll Specialist.</p> <p>Location: Layton, Utah</p> <p>Hours: Full-time; 40 hours/week</p> <p>Essential Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in planning wellness initiatives and activities. </li><li>Maintains and updates benefits and wellness-related content on the company's intranet and the community portal, ensuring resources are current and relevant. </li><li>Assist in the preparation/coordination of the annual open enrollment process. </li><li>Managing benefit arrears to ensure premiums are being paid </li><li>Assist in ACA processes, i.e., Paylocity Dashboard </li><li>Assist in processing enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing </li><li>Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefit changes (QLE) are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction </li><li>Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information </li><li>Responds to benefit inquiries on benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries </li><li>Assists in administering various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401K and wellness benefits </li><li>Process changes for Overage Dependents </li><li>Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes </li><li>Responds to 401K inquiries relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts. Assists with the annual nondiscrimination testing </li><li>Assist with benefit billing invoices </li><li>Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes </li><li>Assists in processing all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and FMLA </li><li>Assist with ADA accommodation requests </li><li>Coordinate service awards and birthday gifts </li><li>Assist in maintaining company intranet site </li><li>Assist in creating name badges for employees and medical students </li><li>Send flowers and maintain invoice records </li><li>Serve as payroll back-up for our Payroll Specialist by assisting with provider distribution tracking, processing reimbursement requests, monthly/quarterly/annual reports related to bi-weekly payroll </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma required </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resource management or related field preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Related benefits or employee benefits administration experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Performance Requirements:</p> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of how to use computers and human resources software applications. </li><li>Knowledge of employee benefits. </li><li>Knowledge of employment documentation </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint, experience with HRIS and benefits databases </li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li></ul> <p>Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates </li><li>Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job </li></ul> <p>Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.</p> <p>Work Environment: The position is in a well-lit office environment.</p> <p>Mental/Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder. </li><li>Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times </li></ul>
