<p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Availability:</p> <p>This position is available immediately and will be open until filled.</p> <p>Position Title: SJCM Programs, Student Assistant Requisition Number: 0406073712 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Jazz/Dean's Office Responsibilities:</p> <p>INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH</p> <p>The School of Jazz and Contemporary Music at the College of Performing Arts seeks a highly motivated student to serve as SCJM Programs, Student Assistant. We're looking for an energetic, highly organized, responsible, creative, and motivated individual to support initiatives within the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music as well as the Gig Office at The College of Performing Arts. The New School recognizes and values the benefits of a diverse workforce.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Assist with Gig Office clerical duties: issue invoices, track payments, assist with booking and scheduling </li><li>Light filing, photocopying </li><li>Carry out general office errands </li><li>Assist with the production and distribution of promotion flyers and posters </li><li>Create and assist with social media content </li><li>On performance evenings, assist with venue set-up, gear transport, and staff support </li><li>General tasks and duties as assigned by Program and Administration Manager or other Faculty or Staff </li></ul> <p>WORK MODE</p> <ul> <li>Hybrid/Split - Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus (ex 1-4x/week) and also work some of the time remotely. </li></ul> <p>SALARY RANGE</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $16.50/Hour</p> <p>Hours per Week: 7-10 hours as needed</p> <p>SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS</p> <p>Applicants should submit a resume outlining their skills and experience concerning this position, as well as a Federal Work Study award letter if applicable.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality </li><li>Able to work both independently and collaboratively on projects </li><li>Professional, collegiate and polite attitude </li><li>Time management skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current student in a College of Performing Arts degree program </li><li>Prior experience working in Google Suite </li><li>Recipient of Federal Work Study award </li></ul> <p>Job Family: School of Jazz Posting Date: 08/25/2025 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Yes</p>
