<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse RN is a specialized healthcare professional who assists interventional radiologists in performing minimally invasive procedures using imaging technology.</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assessment and Preparation for radiologic diagnostic and image-guided interventions, along with maintenance of sterile fields.</p> </li><li> <p>Administration and monitoring of medications, blood products, and fluids while calculating and documenting dosages, adjustments, protocols, and patients' vitals during treatments.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).</p> </li><li> <p>Ideal candidates will have 1 year of Inpatient Medical/Surgical experience. Interventional Radiology, ICU, or Emergency Room experience is a strong preference.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) - certification support available post-hire.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <p>Full-Time - 40 hours/week - Day Shift.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Four 10-hour shifts</p> </li><li> <p>On-Call requirement for five (5) Night shifts, along with every sixth (6th) weekend per six-week schedule.</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information:</p> <p>Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center has been an anchor institution in Connecticut since 1897.
