The city is known for its contemporary public art, historic architecture, thriving downtown cultural district, and abundant public parks, including the scenic Lynn Shore Reservation and the expansive Lynn Woods Reservation. We work together so our students learn to thrive, advance, and impact the greater community and the world.</p> <p>LPS is committed to our Core Values: Inclusiveness Shared Responsibility Collaborative Relationships High Expectations Inspiring Life-Long Learning Lynn Public Schools is dedicated to the goal of strengthening an environment and school culture that honors and celebrates diversity and responds effectively to the social-emotional experiences of every student and family</p> <p>About The City Arts and Sciences Academy (CASA)</p> <p>CASA's Current Mission Statement is "CASA inspires designers and artists to use creativity, critical thinking, and experimentation to imagine and cultivate a future vested in community."</p> <p>CASA is a new STEAM Academy for Lynn Public Schools (opened 9/2025).??STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) is an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning and our staff work together to offer students unique opportunities.??CASA is a growing project-based learning school where students learn through working in groups and completing projects.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Licensure as a Principal 5-12 from the Massachusetts Department of Education and SEI endorsement. </li><li>Master's Degree in an appropriate field. </li><li>Experience teaching at the secondary level in an urban environment </li><li>Experience in school administration preferred </li><li>Thorough knowledge of public education in Massachusetts, administration/supervision, and curriculum development. </li><li>In-depth understanding of Chapter 37H and Chapter 37H ½ and Chapter 37H ¾ laws as they pertain to student discipline. </li></ul> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Adheres to the Professional Standards for Administrators as outlined by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. </li><li>Works with the Principal and leadership team to enable continual school improvement and to establish goals and objectives of the school based upon student needs, community concerns, district goals, and NEASC recommendations. </li><li>Sits on School Improvement Planning Team. </li><li>Assists the Principal in the evaluation of all personnel in the school. </li><li>Plans and implements all scheduling. </li><li>Supports the Principal on goals of drop-out prevention, increased inclusion practices, and use of data to inform instruction. </li><li>Works with the Principal to establish a safe, well-disciplined and productive learning environment for all students in accordance with the discipline code as established by the Lynn School Committee. </li><li>Assists the Principal in overseeing student activity programs and athletics and shall attend extra-curricular events as frequently as possible </li><li>Collaborates with the Chief Attendance and Discipline Officer of the Lynn Public Schools and Lynn Police Liaison for School Security and Emergency Planning, in all aspects of school discipline </li><li>Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and/or Principal. </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal</p> <p>EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the Principal.</p> <p>SALARY: $135,970.25</p> <p>BENEFITS: The City of Lynn offers comprehensive and competitive health and dental benefits; Harvard Pilgrim PPO/HMO, Altus Dental High/Low, and Vision Insurance.
